So you are thinking of making some extra income fast?Having a total in mind that ideally you would like to earn will have you well on your way to achieving your financial goals.
Benefits of making a $100 a day
Please note that this post contains affiliate links and any purchase made through such links will award me a small commission (at absolutely no extra cost for you). These funds help me feed my cat and keep this blog up and running.
Earning an extra $100 a day can be potentially life changing. Basically it allows you to earn as much as $3000 a month, which brings you more choices for how you want to spend your time.
It was when, about 10 years ago now, I decided to investigate how I could improve my income, by earning extra cash, that our lives started to change.
Over the last 2 years, I have really taken on board this challenge seriously - not just dipping in and out of side hustling. My goal now that I have become debt free is to overpay our mortgage and become mortgage free too!
Here are 30+ suggestions for how you can make $100 a day.
1. Get a raise at work
One of the best ways of earning an extra 100 dollars a day, would be to achieve a raise at work. So this could be your start point. One way to start could be to observe the role of the person directly above you and to grab any opportunities to complete tasks they do, as and when needed.
When opportunities for promotion come up, you then have your evidence on how you led a project or task effectively and why you should have the role.
2. Start a Blog
One of my top recommendations and favorite ways to earn extra income is starting a blog.
If you want to develop ways of making $100 a day over time, this is a fab idea.
Just 18 months ago, I started this blog Budgeting is a Challenge as a fun hobby while working my main job.
I was looking for ways to improve my money situation and starting this blog allowed me to share my budget journey while learning how to earn extra money online.

Monetize Your Blog Early On - Treat it Like a Business
One way of monetizing your blog is to recommend products that you trust and love. You can become an affiliate for them and earn a percentage of the sale that you refer. To do this you need to clearly link through to the product you promote and let your readers know why you think it is so good.
This is called affiliate marketing.
Michelle-Shroeder Gardner has taught me all I know about this. Her course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is the place to go. It is amazing and explains everything you need to know about making money through affiliate marketing.
To ensure you reach your audience as widely as possible, you then need to build your blog traffic. To do this, learning search engine optimisation is absolutely essential.
Mike Pearson runs a course called Stupid Simple SEO.
I was surprised how much help it has been. Yes, he teaches you about SEO and how to use it to boost your Google ranking, but he doesn't just stop there.
The course contains step by step tutorials on how to organise your blog, using real data from your competitors and analysing their performance, so you can improve your own. So it is suitable for beginners also.
As a result I now have at least 5 or 6 blog posts on page 1! If I'd have known about his course from the beginning, I would have set my blog up with his advice in mind.
3. Try Investment Apps
Jim over at the moneybuilders is the expert on investment apps. He has produced an in-depth article about the best investment apps in 2021. It details how to get started and gives you expert pointers on how to succeed in making more money.
4. Get cashback from your spending.
Rakuten, formerly Ebates is the site to visit for this! It tracks all your online purchases and some stores will let you record instore purchases too! Your cashback is delivered direct to your Paypal account!
Ibotta - free US Cashback app
Ibotta is one of my top recommendations for money saving apps!
This free app is similar to Checkout 51. You can also earn cashback on your online shopping as well, not just in-store purchases.
Whether you’re shopping for groceries, pet food, clothing, or electronics, you’ll get paid for buying things you were going to buy anyway!
You can transfer your earnings to your PayPal account and get paid through PayPal instantly. Their program has already paid out over $600 million in cash rewards to its 35 million users.
5. Complete Surveys
Earn with Swagbucks
The Swagbucks survey and cashback app has been in business since the early 2000s and always has great offers.
You can choose between cash and other stuff like gift cards.
You can opt for PayPal money, but I usually select my rewards in gift cards because they offer a range of good selection to the stores I shop at on a regular basis.

Last week, I earned $25 to supplement my income! So then I made an extra payment to my student loan!
Mr Budget, over the last couple of months, has had days where he has earned at least $10.
6. Become a respondent
This site is similar to Prolific in that it tries to match you to specific studies related to your experiences. I haven't earned this as yet, but some of the studies you can earn up to $150 per hour.
You can browse the main site for studies that could interest you and the site will also alert you to suitable studies. Most studies involve a one on one interview that last only up to an hour.

7. Become a dog sitter or dog walker
This is great especially if you have short bursts of time, where you can devote half an hour to giving a walk to a local dog, or checking in on a dog, feeding him and making sure he gets attention when his owner is away.
Wagwalking is a great site to get registered on as you can register as a walker and for other services such as pet sitting and boarding. You will need to go through a screening process, video interview and checks to ensure your suitability.
You can earn $18 per walk, which if you love walking anyway, is a no-brainer.

8. Sell your unwanted stuff on preloved sites
Over the last few years I have regularly made around £30-40 a month selling on Ebay.
Before our vacation last month, I sold old things totalling £100 and that gave us a cash cushion, which made me feel the most relaxed I have ever been, that we would definitely not have to use our credit card and go into debt this holiday!
Other sites to check out are Amazon and Craig's list. Craig's list involves listing your item for a fixed price.
9. Do tasks on Fiverr
So if you're looking to build your income by $100 a day, or looking specifically to make money online, Fiverr is definitely worth a go.
On Fiverr, you basically offer services.
This could be anything from writing a blog post for somebody, to being a vocalist on someone's music track.
It's worth a look.
I personally have used it for logo design and wasn't disappointed.
At the start, you would have to offer your service for what it says on the tin - a fiver. But, in time, with customer reviews, Fiverr will promote you to the next level, and so unlocking your earning potential.
Read these inspiring stories on Forbes, of how people have made a fab amount of income - far more than $100 a day - just on Fiverr.
So if you did 20 Fiverr jobs, that would be your $100 a day.
10. Do household tasks via these sites
Other sites that you can earn money on by doing tasks for other people include:
If you are fab at DIY or you have skills you want to earn extra money, sign up for this. People put household jobs on for example:

- Complete the job
- Submit the job for approval
- Once approved you get paid - instantly!
Jobs can fit around your schedule and you decide what you are aiming to get paid. So Gigwalk is definitely a great way of achieving the $100 a day mark.
With Doordash, you could even be visiting a place and do a quick delivery. They won't pressure you into doing a certain amount of hours. When you work is completely up to you. You have a choice of driving or biking, to deliver the groceries.
12. Drive people around
The amount of money you earn will depend on the distance you travel and for example what is going on at the time. Say for example, there is a concert in your city that night and more people need transport, then the rates you will earn, will increase too.
Another service you can provide and earn towards your $100 a day goal is delivery for Uber. Ubereats have always got opportunities for delivery drivers. This is brilliant if you prefer to use a motorbike, cycle, scooter, or you even love to walk for the short distance deliveries.
13. Create an online course
A great way of creating another stream of income, working towards $100 a day, would be to write an online course.

Usertesting.com asks you to speak your thoughts as you do the testing, so they can monitor user reactions as they use the products.
Up to $60 per test is available, which is a superb chunk towards that dream $100 per day you are targeting. Personally this is my next thing to try, as it also sounds like a lot of fun!
So, an update.. I am just waiting to find out if I passed the initial test. I'm super excited - they get you to visit a website and talk through how to find the information. Mine was a space centre and I had to find out information to plan a visit. Fingers crossed I get approved!

17. Review products and music online
If you love your clothes, music or videos this is the site for you. Earnings do vary per survey, but if it's fun, I don't notice I'm doing a survey as much as I would if it's a boring topic.
